AT&T A-GPS Patch

If you're out there flashing ROMs like crazy, you're going to end up with a different gps.conf than what AT&T supplies to Inspire 4G users. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but getting the old one back may gain you some performance on their network.

Now if you're savvy and want to type in the edits directly to your phone, the code is provided below. At the bottom of this page, you can get a flashable ZIP file to patch your phone using Clockwork Recovery.

This is the stock gps.conf:

NTP_SERVER=north-america.pool.ntp.org

XTRA_SERVER_1=http://xtra1.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin

XTRA_SERVER_2=http://xtra2.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin

XTRA_SERVER_3=http://xtra3.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin

SUPL_HOST=FQDN

SUPL_PORT=7275

SUPL_TLS_HOST=FQDN

SUPL_TLS_CERT=/etc/SuplRootCert

PHONE_TYPE=UMTS

You can download the patch at XDA on the following thread: Inspire 4G. It's on the second post.

DISCLAIMER: I am not responsible for any problems you cause your device by making changes. Be careful when "hacking" or "rooting" your phone as this does void your warranty.

Thanks goes out to Agoattamer at XDA for sending me the original config file to build into the flashable ZIP above.
